What You'll Need to Apply

Requirements to Drive

  • 21 years or older
  • A minimum of three years of driving experience
  • Pass a comprehensive background and driver history check
  • A vehicle – 4 doors, minimum of three seats, and eight years old or newer (no limousines, taxis, or trucks)
  • Smartphone with holoholo Driver App
  • Read and accept our best driver practices
  • Pass a pre-trip inspection

Documents You'll Need

  • Valid Hawaii driver’s license
  • Proof of residency
  • Vehicle registration
  • Personal vehicle insurance
  • Hawaii Vehicle Inspection Sticker

Vehicles must be in good condition and have four doors, seat a minimum of three passengers, and be no more than eight model years old or newer. No taxis, stretch limousines, or neon color paint jobs are allowed. If you have a nicer ride, like a luxury sedan or SUV, you may even qualify to drive for our Luxury option. And if you have a hybrid or electric car you qualify to earn more!

holoholo is a kama’aina company and can help you become a new driver in person. We can answer all of your driver questions, set up your account, or evaluate your car in person. Get started today or just drop on by to say aloha. We do not currently have a driver center on Lanai.

How to Get Started

The Driver App is easy to use and is your best resource for the road ahead. With a tap of your finger you can find nearby trips, get turn-by-turn directions, and track your earnings.

Download the holoholo app from the Playstore or the Apple store and sign in. Follow the script to complete your application and enter your documents. Use your camera for uploads. After reviewing your application, we’ll invite you to an in-person car inspection and training session. When your training is complete, we will activate your account and you can start earning money.

Driver Membership – Benefits

Your driver membership qualifies you for benefits immediately, including fuel purchasing discounts, free PPE kit, savings on minor vehicle maintenance services, body work and car detailing on selected islands.
